Erik David Forester
Erik was born in Santa Clara, California on June 20, 1972 to Glen and Glenna Lake
Forester and passed away unexpectedly on October 12, 2016 in Los Angeles, CA. He grew up in
the Santa Clara/San Jose area until he was 22 when he moved to Los Angeles, CA. He was a
lifelong resident of California except for a three year period in Phoenix, Arizona.
While living in the Bay Area he went to work for Crate and Barrel at the age of 17. Erik
has been with the company until his passing this week, approximately 26 years. He was a
faithful, dedicated employee and loved his work as the Area Design Manager.
He was a loving and devoted partner and husband for 16 years and the sweetest,
gentlest, kindest man you would ever meet. His smile would light up a room and his laughter
was contagious.
Erik's favorite past time was looking at model homes, watching movies and looking at
entertainment and design magazines. He was also interested in pop culture.
Erik is survived by his husband, Bill "Andy" Casaus, his father Glen and brother Mark, his
sister-in-law Jennifer Pennell Forester and nephews, Christian and Jackson and niece Grace. His
mother passed away June 23, 1994. He will be missed greatly by his aunts, uncles, cousins and a
host of friends and other family.
Friends and family are invited to join us for a Celebration of Erik's Life which will be held
on October 29, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Gates, Kingsley, & Gates Funeral Home at 4220 South
Sepulveda Boulevard, Culver City, CA 90230. Officiated by Rev. James Roper.
Arrangements under the direction of Gates, Kingsley & Gates Smith Salsbury Funeral Directors, Culver City, CA.
